One of the protagonists in the history of flight was Umberto Nobile (Lauro, Avellino 1885 – Rome 1978). A general in the Royal Italian Air Force, he designed airships all over the world, but he owes his fame to two flights over the North Pole: one commissioned by Norway in 1926 with the airship Norge, which he designed and commanded, and the other, entirely Italian, in 1928 aboard the airship Italia, which ended dramatically.

Due to prohibitive weather conditions, the Italia crashed onto the ice floe and the survivors were rescued after spending forty-eight days in the legendary "Red Tent." The incident and the heated controversy that followed tarnished Nobile's reputation. Accused by the fascist regime, he chose voluntary exile, moving to the Soviet Union where he worked for five years on the construction of airships. At the end of 1936, he decided to return to Italy, but due to objective political and personal difficulties, he decided to leave again, accepting a job offer in the United States.

After the fall of fascism in July 1943, Nobile returned to Italy for good and from 1946 to 1948 he was elected as an independent member of the Constituent Assembly. Over the years, his figure and his achievements have been reevaluated and Nobile has been recognized for what he really was: a brilliant designer, a skilled aviator, and a tireless explorer. Talent, inventiveness, and passion were an irresistible attraction for Giuliano Mazzuoli. Thus, Nobile Italia was born, a synthesis of contemporary creativity and the highest quality materials to evoke an Italian genius of whom we should be proud.

The exclusive shape, inspired by the "Italia" airship, enhances the pleasure and functionality of this writing instrument. Nobile Italia is the result of Italian craftsmanship and is a unique product where modern design is inspired by a glorious past. The attention to detail and choice of materials make Nobile Italia a collector's pen, but given its pleasant feel, grip, and decisive stroke, it would be unforgivable not to use it every day. And feel proudly Italian.

The Nobile Italia pen is available in four colors. In addition to the pen with an "easy flow" ballpoint tip, the package also contains a 0.7 mm pencil, three colored ballpoint refills (blue, black, red), and an eraser.
